Requirements
Describe the deployment. CSST scores every currently orderable Cisco platform against these inputs and explains each recommendation.

Inputs
Select hardware
Browse the full catalogue of currently orderable Cisco switches and routers, or add a recommended model straight from step 2.

Topology
Drag devices to lay them out. Shift-click or drag a box to select several, then stack them or connect them all at once. Press ? for every shortcut.
Rack layout
Choose how many cabinets the site has, then drag each device into the rack unit it is mounted at. Every U is numbered, and a device takes as many U as its chassis, stack and quantity need.
Not yet mounted
Pick a cabinet and the device drops into the lowest free U. Drag it afterwards to move it.
Connections
Every link is checked end to end: common speed, form factor at both cages, and a transceiver or DAC whose reach covers the distance.

Review & export
Check the summary, then generate the design pack. The diagram is rendered from the live topology and embedded in every format.
